SAN FRANCISCO — As the sun went down one recent evening, images of oozing wounds, knives sticking out of eyes, brains on the sidewalk and lifeless bodies in blood puddles flashed on a projection screen in the softly lit chapel of Bryant Mortuary in the Western Addition.
Guests weren’t congregating for a Halloween show or macabre funeral.
It was a gathering of “Scared Stiff,” an anti-gun violence program that aims to show young people the brutal and un-censored reality of gun violence.
